January 18th, 2008 - Try Something New in Tarrytown

Join us on Friday January 18th for the First Third Friday of 2008.

January's Third Friday is all about looking to the New Year to new experiences and finding ways to fulfill your resolutions right here in Tarrytown!

In anticipation of chilly weather, we have paired down this month's activities but still have plenty to lift your spirits and keep your warm on a cold January day.........

5:00-7:00pm - Pick up a Third Friday Kids Coloring-in Calendar from the lobby of the YMCA, listing dates and schedules for 2008.

7:30 - Join Y-Dance for the first monthly Dance Jam! YMCA Gym. January is Swing Dance Jam which will feature a performance by the Big Apple Lindy Hoppers , followed by a workshop where participants can learn some swing dance moves. Then the floor will be open for everyone to dance the night away to really great swing music. There will be refreshments and and information table. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, all welcome - bring a partner or find one there!

8:00-10:00 - Randie Stern, popular Indie-Rock singer song writer returns to Coffee Labs

February's Third Friday (Feb 15th) will give you a chance to have another go at Valentine's Day on a 'non-school night', so book the baby sitter now, or plan to take the family for an early dinner and dance the night away at second monthly Y-Dance Jam.
